Why Austin Media Outreach (AMO)?
AMO is designed to bring the relevancy of the Good News of Jesus Christ to the people of this culture. Our approach is done in a way that breaks through the traditional religious mindset penetrating the hearts of our hearers, bringing understanding to the minds, and prayerfully causing people to put there full trust in Jesus Christ, with out whom there is no hope.
For people to truly understand and appreciate the Good News, they must first understand the Bad News. It's the bad news that makes us all reach out in desperation and grab hold of the provision that God gave us through the cross of Christ and the newness of life in His resurrection.
The Bad News,
Ten out of ten people die! We live, we laugh, and we die and after that, the Judgment. We will all, whether we want to believe it or not, stand before God on Judgment Day. The Bible tells us that He will judged the entire world in righteousness (Acts 17:31). Righteousness simply means to be in right standing with the law. I’m sure you understand that God will not judge the world by the laws of the land. No, the world will be judged according to God’s law, the Ten Commandments. This is what I find extremely interesting. God’s laws are written on the hearts of every human on earth. We know that because the CONSCIENCE bears witness to God’s law (Romans 2:15). You know it is wrong to lie, to steal, to commit adultery, and to murder. The Bible tells us that God will judge us according to this standard (Romans 2:12-16). If this is true, then we can conclude that no one will be found innocent because everyone on earth has violated God’s law. All will be found guilty and will end up in hell, God’s prison.
The Good News,
The purpose of Austin Media Outreach is to reach out and proclaim to this generation, through the use of multimedia, the good news of Jesus Christ. To inform this culture that "God demonstrated His own love to us in this, that while we were yet sinners (law breakers) Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). Our heart is to bring the relevancy of Jesus Christ to the culture of today and to the world.
With God’s help we will do so…
